More info about the classes can be found here. Coordination between your crewmembers will be necessary for survival during your voyage. Each role has its own responsibilities to perform aboard the ship. There are five available classes-Captain, Pilot, Scientist, Weapons Specialist and Engineer. Alternatively, you can take a ship out by yourself and perform all tasks of the crew, although it may prove to be quite a challenge.
Pulsar lost colony chaos level Offline#
You can play offline with bots or cooperatively with friends online. Embark on far-off missions, engage in combat within enemy sectors, and explore the fringes of the galaxy.Įach crew consists of up to five members. As you continue your voyage, the galaxy dynamically changes as sectors get overtaken by other factions and the level of chaos rises. Each sector may be occupied by a faction and contain enemies, space stations or planets. not 100% on the status of this, but that looks to be where things were headed.Ī few snippets will probably give a better idea of what this is about (from Dev Site):Īt the beginning of every voyage, the sectors of the galaxy are randomly generated. So you have your Crew of 5, versus AI's(?) / other Teams / Crews(?). You can assign an Android/Bot to cover designated positions, but at the time checked it either it wasn't fully up to snuff or I didn't understand fully what to do (more than likely the case). It has been over a year since I fiddled with it, so a lot has changed, but the impression I got was that you really needed a separate person to cover each position as there is a lot to keep track of.
Thinking of this as Star Trek Bridge crew officers would be may best explanation - that is quite the impression I had way back then. Here, you actually take on the Roll of one of 5(?) Officers on your Starship - Captain, Pilot, Scientist, Weapon Specialist, and Engineer. This game, PULSAR: Lost Colony, is really geared to Team play more than the above two. N2: Two of us were having some issues with the waypoint diamond not appearing on the heads-up sector display while piloting, and occasionally not appearing on the Starmap, after the Captain had set a course.I debated starting this as I've got a couple other similar ones I've been following and updating on, but this one is just a little bit different than Empyrion and Planet Explorers (not updated in a while - my fault). It's not bad, especially if changing roles, but is it on purpose?
N1: When loading a saved game, Talent Points are still there, but need to be redistributed each time.
Pulsar lost colony chaos level update#
Q2: Has there been an update that increased difficulty, or do we just suck all of a sudden? We had definitely never been set upon by two ships at once until last night. Q1: Does post game Chaos increase add Chaos to the saved game that has just ended? The notifier appeared in the menu area, after the game had been left. It's possible we were just having an off night, but with the same crew and same ship we were having a lot more trouble. The Chaos level increased each time we were destroyed and left the game to reload it. Unfortunately, we got creamed by a drone on our first jump out from where we'd saved. Last night some friends and I popped back into a saved game from the previous night.
